Masaaki Sakaguchi lived in Japan and owned a YB for over 20 years, but died in 2014 - an unexpected and great loss to the Y Type worldwide community. He was a professional engineer with considerable, broad-based skills. Not only did he rewind and refurbish Y Tourer wiper motors to give them greatly enhanced performance, but he also overhauled distributors so that they also performed to a higher standard, and marketed a carburettor modification that improved the operation of the choke.
In the past he was able to supply the Register with radiator cap tightening spanners - which came complete with a leather pouch - and gold colored key fobs carrying the Register logo. These were manufactured from titanium and surface treated in various ways to enhance their appearance and utility. Now the only remaining items are limited numbers of two of the key fobs shown in the attached photograph. Unfortunately we have sold all the Large Octagonal Key Fobs (the item marked C) and the Small Octagonal Key Fobs (the item marked E). Both the remaining fobs are to Masaaki’s high standard and of wonderful quality. Manufactured in titanium, we are sure that they will become much sought-after for their uniqueness. All key fobs come in natural silver finish (gold, as shown, is not available)
