The 2024 Spring Run was a great success and enjoyed by all who attended. If you have never attended a Spring Run before, why not make next year’s run your first. You can be sure of a warm welcome, as having a common interest, everyone soon gets to know each other. If your Y can survive local runs there is no reason why it can’t venture a bit further afield, our little cars are more resilient than you may think. If you arrive with a new squeak or noise, you can be sure there will be plenty of help at hand to put it right.

last year we made a small loss so we have had to increase the entry fee to £15 and £20 for non-members. The charge covers the rally plaque printing and admin. The hotel and dinner costs are a special price for us, you can of course find your own accommodation but still attend the evening dinner and the AGM on the Saturday afternoon.

Triumph and MG Weekend @ Stafford Showground ST18 0BD

https://triumphandmgweekend.com/

2022 is the Y Types 75 Anniversary and we are trying to raise the profile of our beloved motors

From Maggie Grafham Events Coordinator MG Y Reg

I need some cars committed to appearing during two slots each day (Sat / Sun) in the arena. Firstly at 10:40 for the pre-war – 1949 cars. I appreciate Y -types are right at the end of this era for their launch, but it saves them getting swamped by all the 50s and 60s Sportscar of the next slot.

Then finally, at 13:00 we are doing a parade of MGBs and I would like them to be led in their pageant by J2s (90yrs) and Y-types (75yrs). At this point, all the owners will be able to join us for a cake cutting and some champagne in the arena, but the detailed interviews will have been done in the morning slot.

The times and plan are the same for both days.

This relatively new event – First time last year at Malvern – has lots to offer for both car fans and the rest of the family from Auto jumble and car gymkhanas to dog shows and scalextric competitions

Please support us. Contact me grafham.margaret@gmail.com
